“Kill me if you must, but I will never serve filth like you! Sauron is lord and your followers will suffer!”
— Skak to CelebrimborSkak Raid Leader was an Uruk in The Bright Lord DLC.
Skak was a warchief in Sauron's Army in the Second Age. After stealing the One Ring from the Dark Lord, Celebrimbor endeavored to wage war against Sauron within Mordor and began targeting the Uruk warchiefs, among whom the Raid Leader was counted. Angered by his followers being branded by the Elf-lord, Skak himself came forth in the company of his bodyguards to answer the challenge and vowed to end Celebrimbor's "insurrection". In the ensuing confrontation, however, the Raid Leader was overpowered and dominated by the Silver-hand.
Skak and the other branded warchiefs later gathered at Uruks Hollow for the last battle between the Dark Lord and the Bright Lord. During the skirmish, Skak and his fellow warchiefs were released from Celebrimbor's spell by Sauron. As soon as he was "purged" of the Elf's "twisted lies", Skak returned to the service of his dark master and rallied the other Uruks against Celebrimbor. Although he was slain Skak's corpse was briefly resurrected by Sauron before being put down by Celebrimbor for good.
Trivia[]
- The design of Skak's helmet, shoulder pads and vambraces is based on the armor worn by Saruman's Uruk-hai in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
