Are we still interested in keeping the Fantasy Face-Off up? While originally a fun idea we unfortunately now have some trolls that seem to want to do nothing but argue most of the tenets of the comparisons (and a small faction who keep pressing the Eragon issue, for which literally no one but them seem to care).
I also investigated and noticed that nearly all of the sites we linked this contest to when it was created have unlinked it. Added to that is the fact that some of the pictures are no longer available. It's your blog and I didn't want to just overstep so I wanted to get your opinion and input on what we should do.
If you think the poll is still worthwhile and gets people talking about the game series (which admittedly it does), then I will let the matter lie.
I have asked all the appropriate questions I could think of and see no reason to deny this change, especially since it will happen eventually anyway.
Unfortunately, for some reason I thought you were already contacted as well, but as I scanned your message wall I saw this not to be the case.
Is it okay for me to go ahead and accept the migrations on this? I have tried Discussions on the Dishonored site and they seem to be alright. I was going to agree with this, but you are the site founder and I should have cleared this with you first. My apologies if my actions seemed overreaching.
I was wondering, your dropdown flags menu is pretty neat! May I be able to use this in my personal wiki (johnjd1302.wikia.com)? I want to test it out because I proposed to implement it in the Just Dance Wiki. Thanks :)
I saw that your code on MediaWiki:Wikia.js to add flags was very useful and used on some wikis. Why do not transfer it on dev wikia? If you want I can do it by myself, just tell me the name of it ("flags" already exists).
It's been a long time indeed! You're more than welcome to copy the flags feature to dev.wikia.com. Feel free to name it whatever you like - perhaps "Interlanguage Flags" or something along those lines.
There's no specific reason I write the variables separately: it's mostly about readability, really. There's no real performance difference in writing the variables that way, but feel free to change it if you prefer.
I don't recall why I made the flags global (debugging perhaps?) - feel free to make change its scope if you like.
Hey man, not sure if you're still active but I want to apologize for my big burst of inactivity as an admin for this wikia, but I wanted to bring something up with you:
The Outcast pages are all clutter. There is no real description of the mission itself, just what the game tells you once you hover over it. Should we merge them into one big mega Outcast Missions page or expand upon each one more thoroughly?
I'm not sure myself - generally I prefer having several more detailed pages, but if there's not enough information to fill out the Outcast Mission pages themselves then we may indeed be better off merging it. I'd say go with whatever you think is best.
Congratulations then! I've granted you the necessary rights, so you should be able to delete pages and block users (among other things) now.
Experience is not an issue! Being an admin on a wikia is fairly straightforward. If you need any help, I'd recommend checking out the Help:Admin page. Naturally you can always shoot me a message as well.
I added 'Article Stub' to this a while back (December of last year), but nothing has been done with it since then.
Is this page really necessary? Maybe I'm overlooking the importance of it, but no one has contirbuted or added anything to it in a while. Can/should it be deleted? Or is there a significance to the page that I just don't see?
