The Eastern Desolation is a possible location in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. It lies in the far east of Mordor, to the north-east of Núrn and to the east of Lithlad.
One fortress, the Eastern Guard, was established in the Eastern Desolation, overlooking the open passage leading into Mordor used by both Variags and Easterlings.
