Eä is the name for the universe, as a realization of the vision of the Ainur.
History[]
Eru Ilúvatar spoke the word Eä, in which he brought the universe into actuality. This is similar to biblical narrative, in which God started creating the world with the command "Let there be light".
The Ainur, the first being created by Eru, refer to Eä as "the Little Kingdom", referring to the fact that Eru views all creation that mortals can see as a tiny thing in comparison.
