Akoth, Slayer Of the Dead, is Talion’s overlord in Cirith Ungol. Originally, he was Akoth the Poison-maker, but after his deceased blood brother was revived by necromancers, he realized that his brother was not the same. He was cold, dark and was simply just an empty shell. Akoth decided to grant him peace, killing him, thus earning the title “Slayer Of the Dead”.
In-Game[]
Akoth is first found in a cutscene where Talion and Eltariel go to the fortress in Cirith Ungol, where Akoth reports the status of the warchiefs defending the fortress, all either dead or missing. Talion suggests Eltariel dominates new orcs to defend his fortress during the siege. Eltariel refuses to dominate the orcs. Luckily, Akoth suggests Eltariel can find unique orcs nearby without using the power of The New Ring, but by persuasion and helping those orcs with their missions. After Eltariel recruits Ar-Kaius, Ar-Baruk and Ogg, Akoth will be defending the fortress as an overlord.
After the Siege[]
After the siege, the Nazgûl Sisters threaten Eltariel and Talion about their siege, the fortress in Seregost, and their rings, with Akoth listening and looking at the sisters in shock. After the sisters leave, Talion says “Slayer” once, after noticing Akoth is still in deep shock, looking at the position the sisters, Talion repeated himself again, firmly. This time, Akoth looked at Talion. Then, Talion told Akoth to check on Minas Morgul and Akoth went and did so.
