De we know for certain on what technology SoM is based on? Monolith's own Lithtech engine, or something else like Unreal Engine?
Looks fair enough!
c'mon that's Anvil, and you know it ;)
LithTech, sounds like a bad joke. Hehe.
So this basically eliminates the possibility of this game potentially using ac2 code? I don't care if it does, but jet wanna make sure it's been done legally if it's Ben done at all..l
I'm pretty sure WB will make sure the right licenses are purchased if they indeed used AC-code. They know their legal stuff. I once was at a demonstration for War in the North in their Amsterdam HQ, and they even have a legal advisor with them for personal interviews. (they don't appear on screen, they don't say anything in normal interviews, but they're there nonetheless)
Come to your senses. Monolith isn't a mere indie-studio with hobbyists and freelancers collobrated, we are talking about a huge company supported by a marketing dev. They gotta have considered such things before doing, eh?
Game reminded me massively of Warhammer 40k space marine- game engine wise.
To straighten some things out, we built everything from the ground up.
We're still using LithTech (since v1.0 on Shogo), and don't plan to change to anything different. Using our own tech is what allows us to be agile, and make the game that we truly want to make, no compromises.
What do you think?
